Hi -
It sounds like your mail server is blocking emails from our noreply@socialmention.com - or they are getting marked as spam.

>> 1. Twitter results are classified as bookmarks
Results from twitter can be found aggregated from numerous sources including FriendFeed and StumbleUpon. Any items from twitter with a type of "bookmarks" you should check the source it is likely stumbleupon. These are valid.
>> 2. Quantity of results is quite less. Running the same search at 4 different times during the day, I get 834, 456, 398 and 256 results respectively. Not sure why there is such a huge difference in the no of results on the same day!
The API queries each social media property in real time when you make a request. As such a media source may be unresponsive and the results count would be affected.
>> 3. No results from forums or very few
This is somewhat out of our control but is something we are endeavoring to improve upon.
Jon Cianciullo marked one of Mitchell Harper (Product Manager)'s replies in BigCommerce as useful. Mitchell Harper (Product Manager) replied to the problem "IE6 no checkout button, no radio button for shipping".

Turns out the problem was a css declaration. I was using a "clearfix" hack to fix divs - apparently it didn't properly support ie6. The following .css clearfix works perfectly and supports all browsers.
/* float clearing for IE6 */
* html .clearfix{height: 1%;overflow: visible;}
/* float clearing for IE7 */
*+html .clearfix{min-height: 1%;}
/* float clearing for everyone else */
.clearfix:after{clear: both;content: ".";display: block;height: 0;visibility: hidden;font-size: 0;}

IE6 no checkout button, no radio button for shippingWe've had this reported by several customers who are using IE6 and unable to check out. Using IE on the cart page the checkout button/image doesn't display, nor are the readio buttons on the calculate shipping on the cart page.
Please advise.

Those are great ideas. The minute you store goes down you should get an email about it and the message on the website should be more helpful to your customers and post your shop's phone number. – Jon Cianciullo, on February 26, 2010 18:48
