Proxy setup test fails if authentication is required
received via email
The result of the setup wizard is the picture I attached to this email. Because there is no possibility to provide the security credentials, I thought, it failed. At the second try I ignored all warnings and clicked 'Finish' and tried out the proxy domain - working great.

Inappropriate? We will deploy a fix next week that allows you to setup a proxy for an API requiring authentication. A short-term fix for next week will be to ignore 401 errors during setup. It's not the ideal solution, but it will allow you to setup your proxy.
Our ideal solution will allow you to specify your credentials (and other request details) during setup. We have designed this interface and will post mockups on support.apigee.com for public comment next week.
