Chart and range suggestions
Several suggestions about charts:
1) I like that I can choose either a pre-defined relative date range or a custom one; however, a custom range should be available on every chart that has range options, such as Overview.
2) If I choose to see traffic over a several days (perhaps anything less than a week, but certainly up to 3 days), I expect the interval to be in hours. A two-day range that gives me two data points isn't appropriate. Perhaps scale the interval granularity whenever the number of data points falls below a certain number?
3) The "1 day" option should be 24 hours. That would be more useful than 6am to midnight PST when I'm at 9am EST.
4) Google Finance has solved the chart interface problem elegantly—steal from them! They offer me the quick pre-defined range choices, but they also show the macro trend beneath the graph, which both highlights the current range in relation to the whole, and lets me adjust the range by dragging.
5) The "custom" button could be merged with the other choices—having it set off from the others makes it more cluttered.

Inappropriate?Marsh,
We just iterated this design this week. Would you take a look at these comps and let us know what you think?

I’m thankful

Inappropriate?Great improvements! I especially like the "uptime bug" at the top.
Any plans to add an Apigee status page (e.g. status.apigee.com) that shows the current uptime status, % uptime for 24 hours, and longer term, like a month? It would help communicate that it's safe to Apigee as a layer. Couldn't hurt to show the latency there too.
Now I'm just waiting for the ability to drill-down into the URLs by keyword. :)
I’m happy

Inappropriate?yes. we will have a status.apigee.com page. it's in our backlog. probably the iteration after this one.

I'd recommend pushing it as fast as you can... anything you do to demonstrate uptime and accountability increases trust, which might be your biggest barrier to adoption. Tout it prominently as a feature on the landing page.
Speaking of trust, I wonder how many potential users are scared by the thought that internet companies come and go all the time... If there were a way to guarantee that if Apigee were to shut down, then it would continue to provide service for a length of time beyond that, say 6 months. That might soothe any alarm bells. -
great points. IM IN DA SISTEMS RITE NAO MOVIN THINGS AROUND. -
how can you not have said that in lolcat? you have about 14 minutes to fix that. -
fixed (with only 4 minutes remaining). -
Too bad I can't mark a comment as one of the best points. -
Inappropriate?btw - I would definitely agree that for the "1 day" range, showing the last 24 hours would be better. I almost thought our API had broken before I realized it was just showing times in the future =)
